About

The North Carolina Blueberry Festival is Burgaw’s annual community celebration. Founded in 2003, the Blueberry Festival has become Burgaw’s premier event. Held on the third Saturday in June, the NC Blueberry Festival provides an opportunity for people to enjoy a full day of family entertainment while experiencing the southern hospitality of a small town. More than 40,000 people are now estimated to attend the annual one day event. The festival is a great source of local pride, with the entire community involved in promoting Burgaw to the world in its finest shade of blue. More than 100 volunteers are required to stage over 20 events ranging from live entertainment to car show, a street fair, recipe contest, barbecue cook-off, a 5K run, kids’ activities, special exhibits, and a variety of other events. At the North Carolina Blueberry Festival, we’re certain you’ll find something for the entire family! Come join us!

PLEASE NO PETS

Crowded, hot festivals are not fun for dogs! Out of care and concern for your companion animals, the North Carolina Blueberry Festival Association has instituted and enforces a no pet policy. However, we do allow trained service dogs to accompany a person with a disability, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
