In conjunction with the NC Blueberry Festival in Burgaw, NC the Cape Fear Cyclists Club is conducting a Bicycle Fun Ride on Saturday June 24th. This is a non-competitive event for riders of all abilities and experience.

There will be 8 mile and 12 mile route options. The routes are through rural Pender County on paved, low traffic rural roads.

There is no pre-registration. To participate come to the Cape Fear Cyclists information booth at the Festival site at 9:00am.

There you will be give a registration form, map and directions to the ride starting point which is just 3 blocks north of the courthouse at the Burgaw Elementary School.

The ride will begin at 9:30am from the Burgaw Elementary School at the Corner of North Wright St & East Wallace St.

Both ride options follow much of the same routes so that riders can elect a shorter even after they start the ride. Members of the Cape Fear Cyclists club will lead and follow the riders to ensure that no one gets lost or left behind. There will also be a “SAG Wagon” to help anyone who has mechanical difficulties or needs a lift.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy an easy bicycle ride with family or friends. Riders 13 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

NOTE: Helmets will be required for all riders.
