2019 North Carolina Blueberry Festival, Celebrating 16 Years!

5-6 pm Jones Sisters Band
The Jones Sisters Band from Linwood, North Carolina plays a style of music that’s geared more towards bluegrass gospel with a Celtic flair, a hint of old country, and an emphasis on sibling harmonies. They have been playing as a band for six years, which consists of four talented individuals who have each been playing since a young age. Tori Jones, whose main instrument is the fiddle, also plays the mandolin and guitar, she is twenty years old. Katie Jones is eighteen years old and keeps everyone in time with the upright bass. Elli Jones is fourteen years old and enjoys playing rhythm guitar. John Lee is 17 years old, he completes the bluegrass sound by adding the bluegrass banjo.
7-10 pm The Entertainers
Beach Music has long been a tradition in The South, and The Entertainers are proud to have shared in that tradition for over 30 years.
The Entertainers were founded in 1980 and scored their first regional smash hit with “Living For The Summer” that same year. This song helped propel the group to the forefront of beach music, which led to their playing the finest clubs along the grand strand of Myrtle Beach, corporate conventions, weddings and festivals from Washington, DC to Naples, Florida.
While staying true to their R&B and Beach Music roots, the group also satisfies the most diverse audiences by playing selections from the latest Top 40, Classic Rock & Roll and Country music. The group’s years of performing experience and recording prowess culminated in the release of their latest album entitled, “The Inside Story”. This record, which contains the #1 Beach Music hit, “Thank Goodness She Cheated” and Classic Beach and Soul hits, will surely lead you to the dance floor with a smile on your face.

1-3 pm – Steve Owens and Summertime
Steve Owens and Summertime walked away from the 2012 Carolina Beach Music Awards as a winner of the “Favorite New Artist of the Year” category. The awards show was held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Sunday, November 11 and featured musical performances by several popular beach music bands including Steve Owens and Summertime. SOaS had received numerous nominations after only one year since the band’s formation.
4-6 pm – Gary Lowder and Smokin Hot
Known as a Soul, R&B party band based out of North Myrtle Beach , SC. Their musical repertoire covers decades of hits from your favorite artists and genres of music including soul, rhythm & blues, funk, reggae, jazz standards, country, 50, 60’s and Carolina Beach Music. In addition of performing some the most current hits that are topping the charts today, the group has had many successful chart topping hits on local radio and internet stations across North and South Carolina , Virginia , Georgia , and Florida. Gary Lowder & SMOKIN’ HOT .. are comprised of multi-talented musicians who have come together to produce incredible performances each and every time they take the stage.
7-10pm – Band of Oz
The Band of Oz was formed in 1967 as a part-time band playing fraternity parties and high school proms all over the South. In 1977 the band went on the road full time. Since that time the band has made an exceptional name for itself throughout the Southeast by playing the top clubs and corporate parties, and getting excellent reviews along the way. For several years the group has been a guest on most of the major beach concerts in the Carolinas, Virginia, and Georgia.
The Band of Oz is one of the most successful groups in the Southeast, and continues to get the very best reviews from the top people in the entertainment business. The band now features a full horn section to total a dynamic eight-member group. They still perform well over two-hundred shows per year for corporate events, festivals, concerts, wedding receptions, and many other public and private events.
