2019 North Carolina Blueberry Festival Schedule

 

Friday, June 14th, 2019

  • Festival Kickoff 
  • 6 am – Whole Hog BBQ Cook-off Begins
  • 9 am – Blueberry Recipe Contest at the Burgaw Community Building, Judging begins at 11:30 am
  • 9 am –  Shop Festival Merchandise
  • 10 am – Shop Local Downtown Merchants
  • 11 am – Fresh Blueberry Sales from Local Farms, located at Family Dollar across from Depot
  • 11 am – Barbeque Sandwich Sales, located at Family Dollar across from Depot
  • 2-4 pm – Band & Entertainment, at Train Depot Stage
    • Featuring Jones Sisters Band, Bluegrass/Gospel Music 
  • 5-6 pm – Whole Hog BBQ Cook-off Awards, at Train Depot Stage 
    • Event sponsored by Smithfield
  • 5–10 pm – Entertainment on Main Stage & around Courthouse Square
    • Gates open at 5 PM
    • Beer & Wine Garden, Blueberry Sales, BBQ Sandwiches, Food Vendors, Festival Merchandise Sales Tent
    • 5 pm – Jones Sisters Band
    • 7 -10pm – Entertainers

 Saturday, June 15th, 2019

  • 7 am – Annual 5K Run or 1 Mile Walk (Check-In & Same-day Registration starts at 6:15 am)
  • 8 am – Tour de Blueberry Bike Ride, Co-presented by Cape Fear Cyclists
  • 9 am – Festival Opens
    • Fresh Blueberry Sales from Local Blueberry Farms
    • Food Vendors, Arts & Crafts
    • Car & Truck Show
    • Cape Fear Model Train Show, Located inside the Historic Burgaw Train Depot
  • 9 am – Welcome
  • Live Music all day at the Main Stage
    • 9:30 am – Band of Brothers
    • 10:30 am – Jones Sisters Band
  • Kids Zone all day at the Historic Train Depot
    • Appearances by pirates & fairytale princesses
    • Magic shows by No Sleeves Magic
    • Wine & Design, Come paint blueberries on a canvas!! Located down on Courthouse Avenue – canvas and paint provided!
  • King BMX Stunt ShowsLocated at Judicial Annex near Train Depot
    • Show Times: 10:30 am, 1 pm, & 3 pm
    • Meet & Greet throughout the day with Keith King
  • 12-1 pm – Opening Ceremony, Main Stage
    • National Anthem & Presentation of Colors

Downtown parking at the festival is limited on Saturday. Shuttles are available on Saturday from 9am to 9pm. Parking for shuttles is located at both Pender Landing Shopping Center, 602 US Hwy 117, and at the Pender County Extension Offices, 801 S Walker Street. Handicap parking is available on the block of 200 E Fremont Street.

Restrooms, ATMs, & First Aid are available.

No Coolers, Tents, Outside Alcohol, or Loud Speakers are allowed. No Pets!
